जब शारीर में प्रोटीन की कमी होने लगेगी तो शारीर के आन्तरिक अंग प्रोटीन को इकठ्ठा करना शुरू करते हैं और इससे बालो का पोषण प्रभावित होता है. इससे बालो की लम्बाई में फर्क पड़ता है, उनकी मजबूती में फर्क पड़ता है. बाल गिरना शुरू हो जाते हैं.

  • प्रोटीन प्राकृतिक रूप से निम्न चीजो में उपलब्ध होता है जैसे –हरी डाले, पिली दाले , सोयाबीन से बने पदार्थो में, पनीर में, दूध, दही में, नट्स में, मछली, चिकेन, अंडे आदि में. 
  • बायोटिन भी एक प्रोटीन के अलावा एक ऐसा तत्त्व है जो की अच्छे बालो के लिए जरुरी होता है ये भी सोयाबें, अंडे, और अनाज में मौजूद होता है. इसकी कमी भी बालो की समस्या पैदा करती है. 
  • प्रोटीन और बायोटिन की कमी से बालो का झाड़ना शुरू हो जाता है.
